• A SEPARATE, OPTIONAL POST-TRIP ENHANCEMENT TO YOUR GLOBAL WORKS TRIP
• ADDITIONAL $395 COST APPLIES
• PLAYFUL, EMPOWERING AND REFLECTIVE-- ALL LEVELS AND TYPES OF WRITERS WELCOME

 

SESSION ONE: July 30 - august 8, 2024

session two: August 9 - AUGUST 18, 2024

The course is asynchronous (meaning it doesn’t happen in “live time”). Please contact us ahead of time if you’d like to discuss scheduling accommodations. Once the course has started it is non-refundable.

We can work with you to meet your school’s flex credit requirements. Please note that unless accommodations have been made ahead of time, the course can only be extended for up to 2 days to account for changes in student’s schedules, after that late work will not be accepted unless there are extenuating circumstances. The course will remain open however, for students to gain access to the discussions, assignments, readings, etc.


In Global Works Writing 101, students will receive the following:

  • A 10 day online course commencing after your Global Works program, ending with a polished and publishable piece that can serve as a college admissions essay and writing sample

  • A supportive and attentive writing instructor with over 20 years of experience working with teens and adults.

  • Expected participation: roughly 60-90 min./day

  • Suggested Reading List and Guide

  • Journal Prompts

1-on-1 College essay supprort:

Write stand-out college application essays with greater ease.

Expert guidance on your personal statement and supplemental essays. You choose the type and amount of support you need– from brainstorming and outlining, to drafting and refining. Support is offered through email and/or video meetings, and scheduled at a time that works for you. Packages start at $250.
